For the hotel’s recent opening, Esprit de France teamed up with the CRP (Centre Régional de la Photographie des Hauts-de-France – regional photographic art centre) who have generously loaned works for a two-month exhibition open to the public, from 20th November 2018 to 10th January 2019.

For this first exhibition, Esprit de France chose 15 photographs by 15 different photographers from the CRP fund to offer the widest array of themes possible ranging from architecture to landscapes, portraits to still lifes and even humour!

Muriel  Enjarlan, CRP Director underlines the innovative aspect of the partnership, “Thanks to this first partnership with a hotel and a private actor, the CRP is delighted to present original works by some of the best photographers in France to the public. The selection on show illustrates the institution’s vaste and diverse collection“.

The exhibition is intended for hotel guests and restaurant goers and will present works by artists John Batho, Edouard Boubat, Toni Catany, Claude Dityvon, Martine Franck, Jean-Pierre Gilson, Thierry Girard, Rémi Guerrin, Yves Guillot, Jill Hartley, Michel Kempf, Marie-Paule Nègre, Jean-Pierre Parmentier, Bernard Plossu and Valentine Solignac in the public sections of the hotel.

“Esprit de France is delighted to strike up relationships with the region’s artistic partners and the partnership with the CRP proves once more how much we really want to be involved in the region in ways that are in-line with our core heritage, Art and history values,“ explains Séverine Quoniam, Artistic Advisor at Esprit de France.

The first photographs will go on show in the sections of the hotel open to the public and the restaurant at the same time as the recently acquired works (including Thibaud Cuisset photographs) will go up in the rooms and suites.

The first exhibition marks the beginning of a long term partnership with local artistic institutions and the hotel’s desire to play an active part in the region’s dynamism and attractions.
